Water Heater Problem

This problem just started last week. The water is hot in the hot water heater, but only cold water comes out of the hot water faucets. Please help if you can. This is a 2004 Georgetown XL 359

Your water heater bypass valve is bypassing the unit. Need to find it and turn the valve so it will work. It is usually located close to the water heater. Yours is probably mounted in an outside compartment like ours I would guess there should be an access port somewhere so that you can get behind the water heater. It could also be under the kitchen sink as they do in a lot of the trailers. This valve bypasses the water heater for winterizing purposes, if it isn't put back the other way then you get exactly what you are describing.

Um..... just a wild guess but maybe your water heater
is in bypass mode??

I don't know that I can agree with the above posters! I think it's your water heater bypass valve set on bypass!

Are you sure you have water in the heater tank? Are you really sure you have water in the heater tank? As others have said, sounds like by-pass valve is open. Also check inlet valve. Most of the time they both get turned to winterize a unit. Will need both in the correct position for the water heater to work. If there's no water in the tank, may have blown electric heater element also if you tried to heat with electricity. Carefully crack open "pop off valve" and make sure you have water in the tank.
