I did add a lighted inside switch to my 5er. It was an easy mod as the wiring and breakers were easily gotten to. I thought about doing it the way the OP is thinking but when I looked at my wiring it was easier to work from the electric panel inside. Until I did the mod I used the circuit breaker to turn off and on and I put a piece of red electrical tape next to the breaker to mark it. That all being said, why doesn't Suburban put a switch inside like Attwood does??
