Water TOO hot

The electric part of our water heater is tripping the over heat breaker.

The water is VERY hot!

Anybody know where the thermostat is?

Thanks

It looks like item #37. Here's the parts breakdown. Also attached is a troubleshooting web page.

Thanks... hhmmm evidently the t-stat/hi-limit is the same part...hhmm.
I don't like throwing parts at the problem But it looks easy/cheap to change.
Thanks again

Make sure you replace the AC thermostat and not the DC. There are two.
