So, I hand waxed my GT last year and it took forever not to mention a good arm workout. Has anyone used a buffer? Any cons on using a buffer to either apply or remove the wax??

I just finished putting three coats of wax on the 335. (I probably took off the first coat putting the 2nd on, etc. but I think it looked better) I used a cleaner/wax for the first application, then a spray wax followed by a paste product. The buffer worked best on the paste wax. I suspect that was because the paste wax was the hardest to buff by hand.

The product you choose will probably determine if the buffer is needed or worth the effort.

Suggest you use a DA Buffer (dual action) instead of a straight buffer. The DA takes the worry out of burning the paint which is very easy to do for someone who is inexperienced like me. Very good YouTube videos from AutoGeeks, Maguire's, and ChemicalGuys.

I agree on the dual action buffer. I paste wax my unit yearly and it goes pretty smooth. Just wipe a little wax on the rv, buff it with the buffer, and if you did not use too much wax there will only be a light powder left behind which wipes off easily. In between yearly waxes I sometimes use a window cleaning attachment on an extension pole and wipe on a thin coat of liquid wax then change to a clean rag and wipe off the residue. We attended a seminar at an FMCA rally by almostheavenproducts.com They have some great rv cleaning tools and good ideas on easy cleaning, including windshields

Thanks - I used a DA buffer. Worked great unfortunately I apply to thick so it was a mess to take off. Once I hit the hang of it went smooth. I liked it a lot. Thanks

Use this - it's better, you can do it anywhere, and the more you use it the faster it is to apply. Better yet, bugs and goo won't stick to your front cap!

That is what I have used all year and it is so easy I dont even get tired.. Can do the whole coach is about 1.5 horse with a break here and there

Exactly! This stuff is absolutely amazing. And guess what? We use it on the TOAD and on our bikes as well

Do you treat like other waxes and avoid using it in decals?

I use the Wash Wax All also. Easy to use and works great. I spray it on after I have washed the MH and wipe it off while still wet. Works great.

Not at all - in fact on our old 5er I believe it actually added a layer of protection to the decals! And on our full body pain Coach it is a mirror like finish!

It's a liquid so it does not gum up on the edge of the decal like wax AND unlike wax (and using a buffer) there is almost no chance of lifting the decal.

You apply the solution to a pad on the applicator and rub on the surface, flip the applicator over and buff off with the dry pad. The applicator is screwed in to a extendable pole so you have no need for ladders or other stepstools - the pole extends to 13'.

Really, this is the best stuff out there for both decals and FBP exteriors. (and NO I don't work for the company, I am just over the moon happy with this product )
