WFCO 3 stage 65 amp convertor/charger

Any opinions about this unit? My parallax convertor smells like it is overheating even though the fan works. The parallax is a two stage. The WFCO three stage should be better for the house batteries not overcharging or boiling off. Anybody have experience with WFCO?

WFCO does not have a very good reputation. I would suggest a Progressive Dynamics. They are 4 stage units. I am not sure if they have a 65 amp but do know they have a 60 and also a 90. Best Converter is a good family owned business to deal with.

Another good brand that they carry is the Boondocker

I removed my working WFCO for a 55 amp PD in my TT. Big difference! Happy I made the change.

Not happy with my factory-installed WFCO. It has never switched into Bulk Charge mode, so I have to finish my charging with a stand-alone battery charger. Many other reports of this problem.

WFCO Converter

We just purchased a used TT with this converter. Our 12v lights and A/C will intermittently flash on and off. The fan seems to run constantly until I turn the lights off with the switch. We did check battery which as a couple dead cells. Battery definitely needs replaced but in order to eliminate causes we ran a jumper cable from the truck to the battery but the lights still flash on and off. A/C didn't seem to have a problem though. Any suggestions what might be causing the problem?

I replaced my single stage for a 4 stage in my Mirada.

What I would do different, I cut the old unit out and installed the new unit in the same cabinet. If was doing this again today, I'd leave the old unit installed, just disconnect it, and connect in the new unit. That way if I ever sell the MH, I can remove the new 4 stage unit and use it in my next MH (if needed)

Did you intend to post a link to an awning fabric protector/roller?
