What GPS mount system works best on the G'Town?

Just got the Garmin 7" RV model GPS which is quite cool...it comes with the standard window/suction mount. So my question is...have any of you with the big Garmin or big RandMcNally opted for a mount that you are happy with that is different than the packaged mount?
Also Where do you choose to mount it?
Thanks in advance ....

This is what I found to work no matter where you want to place it on the dash, it is amazing how it grabs the dash and doesn't move at all, holds the GPS steady. I have the RV 760 Garmin.

Thanks guys...I HAVE the 760 LMT...just looking at mounts now. Will look at the one you sent the picture of George.
They are also selling a different friction mount...kinda looks like a 4 leaf clover. Anyone have one of those that can report on it?

That one is a sand bag and not sure how it would work on a sloped dash. The guy at GPSstore.com told me that the one I pictured is the best for motorhomes and autos with sloped dashes

I bought a round piece of plexiglass from ebay and double sided taped it to the dash. You can then use the suction cup to attach whatever you want.

I use the cloverleaf shaped style friction mount on the plastic flat center area of the dashboard. It stays in place with no problems.

The "clover" works great with the exception of really bumpy roads. Then if you're not paying attention, you'll be pulling it back up the dash by the power cord! LOL

It helps to position it so that one of the "clover petals" is hanging over the front of the dash.

Solid mount in truck and TOWTA's junker. Just pull the unit and re-install in different vehicle. Mounts stay put, no slipping, sliding, etc.

We have a GT and use the suction cup on smooth brown trim (going up and down) on the center dash. Works great and has never fallen off.
