Everyone is a little different but the Ford F53 Chassis gets around 7 - 8 MPG on average.

All i can say is think twice about the change. We went from an A to a 30 foot C...two trips and that was enough for both of us..we went back to an A. The C's have no storage and on rainy days the isles get pretty narrow, if you know what I mean. It will always be Class A for me from here on.

I still believe that in some 2-3 years ill go back in Arizona to spend winter and my first reason why i choose the A was the vision travelling but seeing the price of gas going crazy makes me have second toughts

Gas mileage...well in Canada we get about 10 miles to the gallon. Why??? because our gallon is a larger than the American Gallon. We acutually buy our fuel in litres so we talk about kilometers per litre. For an old duck like me who was not raised on the metric system, I like miles per gallon better. Whatever the cost, we need to push these big buggies down the road, otherwise, we would miss happy hour at the end of the day. LOL...

Well said polkatronron. Missing happy hour would just make the next day not start right.

Looked at a couple of Sprinter based Class C and finally decided on the Forest River Solera. It was a good decission so far as the layout is the best from all we've seen.

Fuel mileage so far is between 12-16mpg which isn't bad at all. With the 7-10mpg those gas Class C get I'm more than happy as the difference makes up for more than the higher price of Diesel.

The reason we dropped the Four Winds is that is based on the 2009 Sprinter (missing 40hp and does not have the BlueTec/Urea system). Plus the 20K price difference. I liked the U shaped Dinette but at the end of the day it wasn't worth the price.
