Whats under your steps-not much

I took my steps out. Bracket broke off. Turns out there is not very much meat where the bolts go. Be warned.

I am going to use some 3/16 1.5 x1.5 steel to bridge the missing part. Both sides get the same treatment.

I will either bolt or rivet the angle iron to the current structure. Any votes one either option.

Had to brace the step attachment - sagging badly to one side - when new after a couple of camping trips. FR Georgetown 360 XL 2014.
