When did you replace your Georgetown tires?
Just wondering if GT owners are replacing their tires based on age of the tires or the mileage.
If replacing due to mileage.........what mileage did you get?
Maybe it's time to ask Santa
Thanks

Earlier this year I bought a 2008 Georgetown with original tires. Replaced before first trip. Seven years is my max for tire age regardless of mileage or condition.

Just bought 2011 GT 360xl 78000km (49000m) . Rear michelin xrv are 40% worn out, front are 60% worn and not evenly wornout. I will replace the front one. I am going south from Toronto. I might drive in slippery condition. That is why I change the front.

Age is the most important as we rarely wear tires out first. Obviously if tread is gone then replace, but 7 years is the most I would go regardless of wear. After all, there's a lot riding on them.

Yes, age is the thing and between 6 and 7 years is ideal. Anything over that and you are riding on a potential bomb that will tear your rig apart.

May want to consider changing at 5 years on original tires. They are typically low budget.

2011 337 Georgetown on 2010 chassis with 2009 tires.14500 miles. One on the front blew out the sidewall so I changed the 2 fronts. Will change out the rears this winter. No more Goodyear junk for me.

On my 2012 I have 42,000 miles.
No flats, no blow out.! Knock on wood and they only show some wear.
Here is a picture of on set of my rear tires

If I put the new tires at the rear It will be 6/32" less rubber with dual each side??? I prefer let the rear work equally.

My 2011 GT has 69000 miles on the rear tires and 51k on the fronts. I figure another 30k until all need replacing. The fronts have less mileage because FR replaced them at 18k due to uneven wear caused by a very very badly misaligned front end. As delivered, the front end had over 0.80" toe in, way over the 0.1" maximum in the specifications. At 18K, my right front tire had a palm sized patch where I was running on the cords. Another hundred miles or so and I would have had a blowout.

I replaced the tires on my 2003 F-15 a couple of years ago,,, they only had about 32,000 on them,,, but they were 10 years old,,, still had pretty good tread !!!
10 years is probably pushing it !!!

This month's Motor Home magazine has an in-depth article on tire replacement. I had always heard 7 years max. The article says with good care they should be inspected by a professional in 7 years but a good tire like Michelin may go 10 if stored out of the sun and harsh weather.

I will say with our last motorhome we started blowing tires right at the 7 year mark so we will never go past that.. Its not worth it even though they still had plenty of tread

I read mogman they were Good Year tires. I wonder how about those who had blowout within 7-8 years, what brand were they? I will definitely change the rear michelin xrv at 7 years.
