There are many options and a lot of discussion has been posted on this issue. But one consideration brought up in the past is that many people make a living owning and running RV parks and have made a large investment in the RV industry. They are normally quiet and safe, something you don't get at rest stops, truck stops and Wal Marts. For the normal 30-45.00 for a comfortable stay with hookups the safety alone is worth the price. We have had knocks at our door in the middle of the night staying at a Wal Mart, a terrifying experience. Well worth the money to stay in a park, especially since most RV GPS devices and cell phone apps make it easy to pick one while on the road, eliminating the worries about who allows overnight parking and who does not, not to mention truck noise, headlights, parking lot lighting, traffic, etc.

I prefer to relax a little at a cg but if not going to happen prefer a rest area on the hwy over Walmart or most other places.

I use them all. Never had an issue.

One time in Milwaukee at a Walmart at 2am --about 20 rice burner cars came flying thru the parking lot. Sliding sideways burning their tires -went around parking lot a couple times. Lot of noise. Exited out the other end. GONE!! 5 min later the cops showed up. Looked around looking at all the black marks! Trying to figure what happen I guess? Was a bit cool actually.

If we just need a 6 hour stop over for some rest we will usually use a Wal-mart or Cabelas.. Cant see paying $45 for sleep time
