Window Rattle

Anyone had any problems with the Driver Side slide window rattling? I am taking the coach in for some other warranty work on the 5th and this is on my list. It has a bad rattle anywhere from 50-65 mph. I can take my hand and apply pressure to the window and it stops. I have looked and can't see anything obvious.

If others have had this and had it repaired, it would help me knowing what was done to correct it. I can pass this on to the dealer.

Had the same problem. The dealer said they had to pack more felt into the window guides. It still rattles at times. My next plan is to take some rubber and glue it to the plastic wedges that are suppossed to stop the rattling.

Mine does it the odd time. I just slide the screen or window farther forward or backwards (even with the lock still locked) and that usually stops it.

Is your noise coming from the screen slider or the window slider?

Good question Ken...I think from the glass, but would not swear to that. If I open the window and screen some, it seems to decrease the rattle. It is when they are closed that I have the most. Like I said, I can put some pressure on the sliding glass with my hand and it stops it. I tend to think the rattle is occurring at the junction of the fixed glass and the slide glass when closed.

Wayne.....

Unfortunately we are still in the throws of winter up here, and it would be awhile before I would be able to test the rattle theory again. I notice you're in Biloxi, so you can still use your rig to test.

If you can't find a solution........you could always turn up the radio alot!

Headed to dealer tomorrow for some other warranty work. Plan on getting them to look at it while there. Maybe they will come up with something. If not, will see if I can come up with some additional felt or something to help quieten it down.

Yep, turning up the radio is always an option.
