Windshield Washer Tank and Pump

Wanted to pass along a little information to my fellow Georgetown owners.

I have an 07 373 and after returning from the first trip of the year noticed my windshield washer tank hanging from one screw. The forward flange had broken off on the return trip. Inspecting it showed the forward flange was extremely brittle, I suspect on mine it was from constant sunlight exposure thru the grill at home. A search on-line led me to United States Plastic Corp. www.usplastic.com 800-537-9624. Their item 014142 was an exact replacement for what was in mine. ie the mold details even matched. The complete assembly - tank, cap and pump, was $19.95 - the shipping and handling was almost as much at $17.95.

If yours is parked exposed to the sun and of the same vintage I would suggest you inspect yours. If you ever need a tank or pump they were great to work with and carry numerous other plastic products. My only suggestion would be to find a friend that needs one also to split the shipping costs.

Safe Travels
