Windshield wiper won't touch

Drivers side wipers won't touch the windshield. No problem on passenger side. Anyone with tips on what I should do? Im assuming it's the tension? Don't know how to adjust. Drivers side is where the wiper should touch....it never has!!!! Irritating!

I have the same problem with both of mine. I have even tried even replacing the blades.
Do we need new wiper arms!

Windshield wiper won't touch

Try to lube the pivot pin section of the wiper arm and work it around. I have seen this on vehicles over the years. The pivot pin gets crud around it and does not allow the spring on the arm to put enough pressure on the windshield. WD 40 works good. The problem is the arm so new blades have no effect on the problem.

I had a passenger side that flopped,I added a small lock washer to the flex joint
on both arms and that tighten them up.

Mine on the driver side did the same thing. I had the arm replaced under warranty. The passenger side is now doing the same thing.

The problem is the small metal retainer on the underside of the arm itself. It is not adjustable. The arm must be replaced. My 2014 Coachmen Encounter had this problem so I contacted the people at AM Equipment, 402 E. Hazel St., Jefferson, OR 97352. They confirmed my diagnosis and offered to replace the faulty arm. I was still under warranty so Forest River fixed it. The difference was night and day after the repair. I recommend checking the manufacturer's markings on your wiper arm assembly; measuring the blade length; then calling your warranty dealer or the manufacturer.

It's a frequent problem. I temporarily bent the arm until Forest River sent me a replacement.

If it's under warranty you will need to get it from your dealer. They shipped me the replacement and I had to return to them the defective wiper arm.

There are wiper arm helper springs available (example: www.surewipe.com ) that are designed to restore weak spring pressure but also add extra wiping force to "normal" spring-arms to assist in tackling oily/buggy windshield situations. Just a thought...

Same problem. Replaced with Rain X Latitude blades and it made the problem worse.
