Winshield Wiper Blade Replacement

I had to replace my windshield wiper blades today because they were shot and the rubber falling off.
I replaced them with these that suppose to push more towards the window for better sweep. I will let you know in a week how they do as I will be driving down to Tucson AZ and they expect 2 to 3 days of rain.


They are Transform ones and I have the J Hook arm end.
They cost between $9.50 and $13 each depending on where you look online.

Sounds like a really good price. I'll be interested to see how they work since my originals are ready to be replaced.

those will be my next one I paid $70.00 for my last pair. autozone,advance and napa told me it was a truck blade and their sources didn't show it old me to go to a truck parts dealer based on the part # internet prices I found were even higher than what I paid for them at Boatnrv
next time I will shop forest river forums first

Well those are shorter than original right? Probably shouldn't matter though. I will do this when I need a new pair.

I'm assuming from the code on the packing, that the wipers you show are 28". There's been some discussions whether they should be longer, and maybe the newer models and newer windshields call for something longer?

Certainly my 28" originals on our 2010 Georgetown do a great job for me, and honestly, any longer blades would simply clear in an area that's not really necessary for safe viewing. I am also obsessed with putting protective sleeves over my wipers when not driving, so that has extended the life of our blades.

On really sunny days on the way to Florida in October, I'd sometimes leave them on all day while driving. I'd just tell people that asked........
What? You've never seen winter wiper blades........all us Canadians have them!

The OEM blades that came with my rig was 27 1/2" long
These are 28" so not much of a difference to worry.
I will give feedback after I hit the rain tomorrow.

I guess the length is not real important because forest river put 32" blades on our 2011. Just go with whatever fits the J hook.

Iggy let me know how your wipers work. I bought a pair of one piece wiper like your pictures shows and they didn't wipe very good. Maybe my springs were weak or something. It wouldn't wipe the first 12" - 18" of each sweep.

Cool deal.....I was headed to buy some windshield wipers today. Apparently when I had my windshield replaced at the camping world rally in Phoenix, my wipers got a bit man handled. I was driving back in the pouring rain and the passenger side wiper came out of its position and was just hanging there....the j hook clip that locks it in was broken. I was able to push it back on and kind of bend it so that it would hold for the rest of my trip and used it as sparingly as I could pushing a little safety there because sometimes I need more wiping....I should have looked for the nearest Auto Zone but it was late....luckily the rain eased up.

Just got back from the FROG Rally
Saguaros in Springtime Tucson, Arizona


Sorry to tell you that I never ran into any rain while driving. I did wash the windshield clean from the bugs and the windshield wipers did well with no smearing. They do seem to fit flush on the windshield better than the original OEM ones.
