We have friends who have a GT XL and have no problems camping in freezing temperatures - just remember below 32ºF to keep the tap in your kitchen at a low trickle - this will keep water from freezing from the city water & through your rig.

Have never heard of this or done it in my 30plus years of Rving, even at temps in to single digits. You have heated holding tanks and I hope a artic pak. Use that and you will be fine. IMHO.

Jim,

Check your next FAMCAMP that is open during winter - it is a MWR SOP I think

(Seriously in the FAMCAMP we are at it has this posted in the laundry - I had never thought of this as well but it passes the "Seems Legit" test for me )

We did it when it got down to 9º here for a couple of days - maybe it was overkill with our heated floors, tank heaters, heated hose & insulated wet bay - but better safe than sorry )

Traveling to Alaska in spring.

Thank you for the replies. We leave northern Indiana end of April. Have to be in Denali before the 10th of May. Looking forward to the adventure . Happy Camping!!
