Winter Storage

I am storing my 2014 Georgetown outside for the first time without a cover. Vehicle has been winterized internally and I did put wheel covers on the tires. Any other suggestions for getting through the winter

I have done this for the past 2 years, normally we go south for winters. My thing is keeping the snow load to a minimum to keep from crushing the AC covers. We had that happen to our old 5th wheel. After a big storm I use a plastic roof rake to take off the large accumulation. Other that that we don’t do much except keep track of the battery charges and plug it in periodically and start the engine and generator monthly. No problems yet and ours is a 2011 model. Good luck, stay warm.

should I raise the wheel jacks

Would it help to keep the tires raised up during storage?

Do not store it on your jacks. Leave it on the tires.

Whenever I had to prep for winter....

Make sure all batteries are in good order. Top up the gas tank with premium fuel (little or no ethanol) and add the appropriate amount of Stabil fuel stabilizer. This is more for the generator than the main motor. Generators are very basic carburetor systems that can gum up over the winter. Run the motor for at least 20 minutes monthly. Run the generator UNDER LOAD for 2 hours monthly. Tires covered and properly inflated. Assuming the rest of the motorhome was winterized properly, you should be good to go.
