You don't want this to happen.

Well I dropped off my Georgetown at my Ford dealer for checking my frontend alignment at 8 AM today.
Got a call at 10 AM and they told me that they had a minor problem with the steps and where it attached to the motorhome.

I didn't know Kwikee steps could become a spiral staircase?
The steps were out on the alignment rack and it got pushed back and totaled. Some minor damage to the molding around the steps.
They will buy and install news steps and replace the molding and paint it.

I wonder if they plan on charging me for the frontend alignment?
They are on top of this and apologies numerous times.
Life's too short to worry about the small stuff. Should be fixed in about a week.

Sorry about the blurry pictures from my phone.
Hopefully you can see how the steps are bent and the minor damage to the step molding.

As long as they are fixing their screwup, I would be a lot less angry. And it doesn't look like it has cost you any camping time yet this year so its all good. At least they didn't drive it off the alignment rack

WOW!!! I guess these things happen, I'm sure that was not a phone call that they wanted to make. As long as they make it right, it's all good.

Tough Iggy. Glad they stood behind the fix. I had a similar instance on my SUV. It has electric deploying running boards. When the tire dealer was servicing, the mechanic lifted on the running board. Thankfully I noticed it right away, went back to the store and they fixed it. About a $2500 mistake and like you - they fixed it. Good luck and again - thanks for all your help to us new RVers.

Ouch is right.....whenever and wherever I take my coach in for service....I make sure they are locked in the storage position.....its a big step to get in of course but I have seen how close they park these things to others and I don't want them taking away what I think are perhaps a limited number of operations when they are in and out of it before they do give into some sort of defect.

As I wrote in a previous message I needed some Georgetown parts information for my exterior damaged Georgetown 2012, 378TS.

A great direct contact for Georgetown parts information is:
Kathy and her direct phone number is 1-574-206-7617

Sorry no last name or emails address.

Very nice lady who gave me the part number for the Step Bezel that was damaged.

She did say that I must use a local RV dealer to buy the part because of the new FR policy she couldn't sell directly to me.

That's cool. My service advisor at Ford couldn't thank me enough for this information as well as my paint codes. Hopefully this will help expedite the repairs quicker.
