The Viking Feast place? "Leifsburdir"
Is he the big guy with the beard that wears the Viking clothes in all the advertisements?
I will stop by tomorrow and try to find him and pass on your regards.

That's the place but that guy you describe is Mike. He gets into character very well.

Iggy was spotted in Port aux Basques, NL, leaving for Nova Scotia. The group is headed to Prince Edward Island.

John, great meeting and chatting with you today. Thanks for the FROG hat. Safe travels.

Thanks Mike.
Great meeting another FROG so far north in Newfounland.
Actually we can say it was the farthest north Mini FROG rally in history!
Glad I had the chance to deliver you the official FROG Hat! (Air Mail)
Be safe.

All is well on our 2014 RV journey.
We are on day 52 of our 60 day visit to the Canadian Maritime area.
It's been long but worth every minute as we have visited, seen and enjoyed it all.
The locals folks have been super nice and always want to know where we are from and interested in the US. We in turn ask many questions about history and traditions which have been very informative.
We have been " Screeched " many times, seen whales, icebergs, puffins, moose, and everything you can imagine.
I want to thank all my friends here for helping make this trip enjoyable.
Mike it was a blast meeting you at the ferry and glad I was able to pass you the FROG hat. Terry sorry we couldn't hookup but thanks for your help.

To all that are considering a RV trip into the Canadian Maritime area here is my travel thoughts.
1. Take your time and enjoy the people and history of the region.
2. Save your money so you can pay for your fuel.
3. Try all the local seafood and local dishes.
4. Buy a year National Park pass and they do have a senior pass that is less. This will get you in all the National parks and sites and will pay for itself quickly.
5. I know I mentioned seafood but you need to eat as many lobsters as you can, mussels, clams, cod, haddock, and anything else that falls in the category seafood.
6. You will see more Canadian flags flying high all over. Very patriotic nation to their flag.
Only wish the USA would be that patriotic and fly the US flag.

The bottom line is to slow down and have fun while visiting our northern neighbor.

Here are a few pictures I took.

Hello Iggy. This is the first night in a while that I have been able to sit down and see what I have been missing on the forum. Great pictures thank you and I think I even detect a bit of good feeling for us Canadians in there somewhere, EH. We are so happy you are enjoying our homeland and we know you are a great ambassador for FROG as well. Hope you continue to have a good trip as there are a lot of great people in eastern Canada and a few up here as well. Travel safe. Old Guys (Brian and Joanne)

Just wanted to let you all know I have completed my 3 month RV travel adventure to the Canadian Maritime provinces.
We caulked up only 8,300 miles with no major problems.
The Ford chassis was wonderful and the engine and transmission took everything we could throw at it. Mileage was typical in the 7.7 mpg gallon range.
No hydraulic leaks or failure. Actually never added a drop of hydraulic fluid the whole trip.
The 22.5" Michelin tires took all the pot hole without any issues. I run 90 psi all around.
I did have to replace the main door lock assemble as we had problems with the cheap red deadbolt handle inside breaking so I bought a new lock at camping world and it is a much better heavier duty lock then the OEM.
It is really good to get home after the longest RV trip I have ever made.
By Georgetown will get a good cleaning and checkout for our next trip in a few week to California. That will only be 250 miles away and not the east coast. LOL
I have over 6,000 pictures of everything in Canada. Lighthouses, moose, whales, puffins, fox, icebergs, and gobs of beautiful scenery.
We tried to eat all the seafood but failed. 12 lobsters, plates of scallops, clams, mussels and many different fish.
Fuel prices were high which we expected. $5.25 a gallon for gas.
Also chickens are very pricey in the Maritime area. Cheaper to eat beef or seafood.
I'm now ready for a few weeks off.
Here are a few more pics.
