Checking in from Langley, BC. where it rains almost non-stop about 6 months of the year. Fortunately it stops in time for the camping season each year!

Born & raised in Vancouver but would never go back now. DW was born in Edmonton and grew up in Vernon, BC. She still has a T-shirt from Edmonton that says " I survived the -90F wind chill factor". Whoa, that sounds cold. I'll take the rain any day over that.

We are very close to the US border and plan to do a lot of camping in the US. We're new to RV'ing. DW plans to retire within a few years and then I'd like to take the trailer and simply drive off into the sunset never to return, lol. Maybe we could find a beach somewhere in Central America where it's nice and warm all year......

Kidding aside, one of the top things on my bucket list is to do a circle trip around the US with the trailer. Will do some campin' in BC and maybe visit some of the relatives in Alta. but that's probably it. There's just something about the lure of going to the US.

Kanata RV: Welcome to the form.
We are not new to Rving but still new to a motor home.
We went to NFLD with our fifth-wheel several years ago.
I'm sure you will enjoy it a lot.
What ever time you plan to spend there will not be enough.

Welcome to the forum. Before taking your unit to NL you should check the cost of cabins and motels in NL. It might be less expensive them paying the cost of the ferry. Just an other option. The Arm of Gold campground is a very nice CG and is the last CG before the ferry to NL. The offer an option of leaving your RV at their site while you visit NL. The staff is very friendly and the washrooms are always clean.

Welcome from another Calgary family. Looks like we have a lot of Canadians on the forum. Just got home from 4 days in Fairmont, BC. First trip of the year and everything still works!

Now to add to those 4 days...

I spent my childhood summers north of Kingston (Sharbot lake) where my grandma was from. Does that count? Her maiden name was Duffy.

Hello from Dog River. We have our new Surveyor in a seasonal site at Dunnet Regional Park which is about 45 min South of You. There is also a decent Golf course a couple of miles from the park. We've had a seasonal site here for about 6 yrs or so but have been camping here since the 70's.

I did take your comments as such and you would know then that Canadians are priceless, well at least the Newfoundland variety is. You would never have enough money to afford this variety.

Hey! we lived in Corbeil (Carrier road of Centenial Crescent) back in the 90's and we loved it up there
We are going near Mattawa tomorrow and visit with some family in Bonfield.
I see there is a total fire ban but the update was dated the 25th of May, hopefully it will be safe and permitted to make camp fire again tomorrow!
