Exclamation Gas Station Closures in Bancroft, Ont' Area

Something to consider if you're heading to Algonquin Provincial Park/Upper Ottawa Valley from the GTA this summer.

I was up to Algonquin Park on the long weekend & saw that 2 gas stations were closed. The General Store in Bird's Creek on Hwy' 62 doesn't have pumps any more. I heard later that this has been the case for quite a while now.

Also, the XTR (formerly Shell) @ Bow Lake Variety on Hwy' 28 is closed (pumps still in place) & for sale.

There are 2 stations on Hwy' 62 just south of Bancroft & the Crappy Tire gas bar is located just north of the Eagle's Nest. There's an Esso a mile or so north of Bird's Creek & the gas stations are still open in Maynooth, Lake St. Peter & Whitney.

I'm not sure which of these stations has diesel.

Just go down to the beach and dip it out.

Seriously, those people need to be strung up by their oil filled wallets for what they have done

I tell you, if I could I would, but it's BP's oil and it's their clean-up.

That little curly haired wimp, CEO. Wonder what his Bonus will be this quarter.

Don't worry. BP will raise gas prices enough to pay for his bonus and the cleanup.

No BP stations that I'm aware of in Canada.

There used to be BA (British American). I think Gulf or FINA bought them out in the late 60s/early 70s.
