Going West

DW and I are looking at doing a trip in Aug from the 14th to the 25th.

We are leaving from southern Ont and working our way west. Has anyone got any tips in what CG's would be good to stop in for an overnighter.

We will be taking our time and looking at getting off the hwy at around 7pm.
Any and all advice is welcomed as this is the first trip for me in that direction.

Thanks

Traveller's RV park just as you arrive in Winnipeg from the east, nothing fancy but easy in and out off the highway, and good for an overnight. It's just off the Trans Canada as you enter onto the Winnipeg By Pass.
When you say headed west you did not stipulate if you are going #1 through to Calgary or #16 up north through Saskatoon then on to Edmonton.
If going #1... Prairie Oasis in Moose Jaw, SK...again, nothing fancy but good for an overnight, easy access off #1....
Also Medicine Hat has a very nice city run campground, called Gas City campground, also easy access off #1.
These all have websites you can look at.

Most of these, in Aug you will probably want to make reservations, asap, if you aren't too late...if you are planning on staying in the Nat'l park in Banff, I would say you are likely out of luck, that would have had to have been booked long ago.

Your question is terribly vague.

Your timeline is relatively short....12 days total. So, are you planning on travelling everyday? That's still 6 days out....6 days back. Do you have a destination in mind? Southern Ontario....you planning all travel inside Canada or crossing into/through the USA.

Just asking.

i'll be leaving the GTA area, no destination really just traveling and stopping at interesting places that we find along the way.

i would like to stay on the canadian side driving out and maybe the american side driving back.

what i'm looking for are interesting places to stop and CG's that are easy to get to with a 35ft 5ver
