Parks in eastern Canada question

We're planning a trip that would put us in some of eastern Canada in late May or early June 2017. We would enter from Maine, probably go through New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and eventually back into Vermont or New York. Are there any opinions about how soon we should make reservations at campgrounds around the national and/or provincial parks there? We've applied for the free 2017 park pass, but not sure if they will come through to US Citizens. Any tips we need to know about entering with dogs (vet has advised we need a health certificate) Thanks - Chris

The national parks pass is eligible for US and other citizens. However it is only good for national not provincial or local parks. It only covers park admission not camping, firewood, etc.

If you want to stay at national parks get reservations ASAP as they will be extra busy this year due to the passes.

You can get the pet info by Googling taking dog into Canada. You will need the certificate, just be sure it has each and every required element so you don't get turned back. With the right certificate, there will be no problem at all.
