RV park in Algonquin Park

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good RV campsite in Algonquin Park?

We are in Ottawa and planning a trip to Algonquin park and would like to know what a good park would be, we also have a dog.

Thanks
Dan

Sorry but I think you'll have a tough time finding a electric site in Algonquin this time of year without a reservation. I know that the Canisbay campground has quite a few 'first come, first served' sites but they go fast. Here's a link to the Ontario Parks reservation system for Algonquin... https://reservations.ontarioparks.co...lgonquin%3fMap

We are going to a park really close to Algonquin with friends who have been to this park before. I haven't been there yet. From what I understand it's nothing special but they have a boat and we have sites right on the water. So if you are looking to get close to Algonquin, and can't get in to Algonquin or want electrical... This park is called RiverLand and is just south of Algonquin.

Electric sites are tough to book now, but depends on what your looking for. Rock Lake is a great camp ground of the beaten path a bit, have to travel 15km on a gravel road south of HWY60. They have electrical sites, but they are really close together and only a few are non-reserve.
Most of the campgrounds along Hwy 60 have electrical hook up and I think that 10% of them are non reserveable. Call the reservation line and they will tell you how many are open at any given time.
