Which route are you travelling back from Timmins? #11 to Toronto or #17 to Ottawa?

Where are you planning crossing back into the States after Timmins?

there are a lot of provincial parks south of North Bay, Killbear, Killarney and Grundy to name a few . Go to Parks Ontario and you will see all available parks

We do this from North Bay fairly often and usually take 17 then 41 or 15 crossing to US 81 at Thousand Islands. That’s a very nice border crossing - not usually too busy. Samuel de Champlain or Driftwood Provincial Parks would make great stops.

Marten River Provincial Park is a really nice spot. It is on Highway 11 about half an hour north of North Bay.

Take 11 south and 17 east to Ottawa. There is Silver Lake Provincial Park before you get to Perth.

Once in Ottawa, take 416 south to old 16 to head to Ogdensburg, NY. It's a small crossing. Once you cross the border, at the intersection, hang a right on SR 37, at the next couple of lights, a left on 68 towards Canton. Go thru Canton and after you pass St Lawrence college, hang a right to stay on 68 to Colton. Once you are at the T intersection at Colton, hand a right on 56.

At the end of 56, take a left to Tupper Lake. You are in the Adirondacks.

I used to take this route from Ottawa to Lake George a couple of times a year on my motorcycle. Americade in June is great.

Enjoy the journey.

If youíre crossing at the Thousand Islands, there is a casino there. Usually theyíll let campers boondock for a night.
