Traveling West from Wisconsin to Banff

We are first time travel trailer travelers and we’re planning a long haul trip in our 30 ft trailer in Aug or Sept 2020. Does any one have a recommendation on what campsites we should stay at with power, water and a bit of nature? Thank in advance for your advise.

Do you have a route in mind?

We are thinking about entering Canada at International Falls and traveling west on Hwy 11 to Banff and Jasper. Do you have any recommendations for campsites along the way.

Can’t add anything along the route but we just stayed 4 nights in Banff, 4 nights in Lake Louise and are finishing up in Jasper.
Tunnel mountain 2 in Banff has electric only, which was fine for us. Tunnel mountain trailer Court has full hookups. We are now at Wapiti campground in Jasper. Must make reservations beginning of January. Sites fill up in a matter of days. Go to parks Canada to reserve. The Canadian Rockies are indeed stunning.

You will probably be traveling Highway 2 across the Canadian prairie. Out there in the middle of nowhere is the little town of Bassano Alberta a little west of Medicine Hat. They have a cute little city park (Homecoming Park) with power and water and enough services to take care of your needs.

Highway 1 is the main east/west highway, with Highway 16 being a northern option through Edmonton and on to Jasper.
