2003 21' Lexington - First Time Buyer

Hello all.

I've been on many RV excursions, but am looking to buy for the first time, and after having done 6 months or so of research/test drives/prowling the net, have located a 21' 2003 Lexington through a very small dealer in SoCal.

The unit checks out well, everything is functional, though I'd like to go away for a couple of nights to fully put it through it's paces. It's priced quite reasonably at 15k, but has 70k miles on it. Just thought I'd throw these facts out there and see what everyone's experiences with the Lexington (especially the early models in 2003 or 2004) have been, and any ideas you can throw out.

Also any recommendations or input to a first time buyer/ newbie would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you everyone in advance.

John

We have a 2008 Lexington 26', Like the layout, would like more storage, but don't need the weight. Basis seem good, lot of little things Dealer fixed. Gas mileage pulling Element 7 to 9 mph. Put a Steer Safe on helped stabilized. By this time all that should be worked out for you. Forest River and our Dealer has been just great. Enjoy
