All four of my batteries are located in two separate bins on the drivers side. Looking at the bins, are the starting batteries in the left or right bin?

It might help if we know which model you have. In the 255DS the house battery is on the passenger side and the truck starting battery is under the hood.
I’ve got a 270GTS, but only have two batteries in one bin. Left is for house and right is for generator. Then of course, the truck battery under the hood.

Wow,
That’s a really different configuration than what I have. I have no battery under the hood and four batteries in two separate compartments on the drivers side. The problem is that I think someone reversed the two deep cycle house batteries and the two cranking batteries. Just trying to figure out which two go where since it doesn’t appear obvious.
Thanks,

Great idea but rv wouldn’t start or even turn over. Been in storage for quite a while with batteries that were several years old and some were cracked and leaking. I pulled all the batteries and am replacing with new. I will use your suggestion when installing new batteries. Worst that can happen is that I might end up hooking up a deep cycle battery to the engine and have to move it to a different location. Thanks, I’m all for simple solutions. 🙂
Installed new batteries today and the answer is: the starting batteries go in the right bin and the deep cycle house batteries go in the left bin. I installed the starting batteries in the left bin and there was no power to start the engine so I moved the starting batteries to the the right bin and the diesel started right up.
