Brighter storage compartment

My compartments are black plastic which makes it very hard to find stuff without a light. While admiring a friend's new Artic Fox truck camper I noticed he was painting his compartments white so I bought a can of white spray for plastic at Lowes and am copying him.
It is hard to do a good job because the overspray is blowing right in your face (don't even think about doing this without a mask and safety glasses) but all I am looking for is a brighter storage compartment.
