Extreme basic house battery info needed

Hi all,
I just bought a 2005 Lexington 255ds...and don't know where to look for the "house" batteries. Slides and lights and everything work with shore power, generator, and with RV engine on.... But not without one of those three. Shouldn't my "house" batteries kick in when power charging is off?

Yes, they should. Check the disconnect sw. it should be labeled (on my 2004 235GTS it is located near the entry door) The battery box should be behind one of the smaller rectangular doors along the side at the bottom of the coach.

On my 2012 265ds, the coach batteries are under the entrance step when you open the door. You have to unscrew the top of the step and remove it.

On my 2006 283 GTS the house batteries are in the first compartment behind the passengers door.
