How do I replace cooking stove exhaust vent

The flap on the plastic 6"X13" exhaust vent for the cook stove broke off. I went to CW and bought a Ventline exhaust unit which the counterman assured me was a generic vent. While trying to remove the old unit, I noticed 3 things: 1) The screw pattern was different 2) the glue/caulk Lexington uses to attach the unit to the coach body is amazingly strong and 3) the new generic unit measures 5 1/2" x 11 1/2".

My question is, how do I get a replacement unit that fits the Lexington 255GTS and how do I remove the old unit without scratching the coach body all to hell.

I looked for a brand name on the old unit and could not find one. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Just replaced my range vent as I had the same problem.
Age makes the hinge pin brittle.

I ordered an "exact replacement" but the holes were different.

Rather than fuss with it and still have hinge pin issues 2 or 3 years from now, I returned it and got one without a flap. Still had different holes, but I backed it with nylon screening (for bugs) and installed it anyway.

I used a razor scraper and carefully cleaned the old caulk off. Yes it was a pain, but the only scratch I made is hidden by the vent flange. I used Proflex to caulk the new one in.

Oh, I did need to modify the replacement (and would have needed to do the same with the "exact replacement") as they are made for a deeper wall than mine. My wall was thinner and so I had to saw an inch or so and open the hole a bit (it was not square).
