Inverter replacement

I think I need to replace the inverter/converter under the passenger seat. The alarm continually goes off and the breaker is not off, have checked everything and cannot find the problem. Because it is not working our batteries won't charge. The plug on the front of the inverter is a GFI and it will not push in or reset so that's why I think the inverter has gone bad. Has anyone replaced this and if so, where did you get yours?

Exactly what are you having problems with?
If your batteries are not charging, than that is your converter. Converter takes 115/120 volt and turns in into 12 volt, and charges batteries. Allows your 12 volt powered stuff and lights to work while plugged into shore power.
Inverter takes 12 volt and turns it into 115/120 volt to run things like ac and residential fridg. Won't charge batteries...uses battery up.

The batteries are dead and will not charge. Alarm continually goes off. Lights are very dim even when plugged in. Have checked all breakers and fuses and they are OK.

Well I purchased a new converter and installed it and that isn't the problem. Alarm still goes off continually. Now I guess I'll have to check out the batteries and connections. If that isn't it, it is back to the shop.
