Lexington walls

Are the side walls in the 2013 made with azdel (Composite) or laun. The brochure still states laun but the Sunseeker states composite for their walls. Seems odd they would use laun for the Lexington which is made in the same factory as the Sunseeker.

Because of the curved sidewall we went to 2 layers of lauan. It looked better when laminated...not sure why. We're looking at changing the walls a bit to go back to Azdel.

Thanks Brian, So the wall compoisition on my new 300SS on order could be laun?? The benefit of the Azdel is no delam, correct? I was told a good place to determine wheher it is Azdel or Laun is at the main door lock plate. Our 2011 265 looked like laun at that area. I applied sealer to the area because you could see daylight when the door was closed.

Correct. Technically no laminated wall should delaminate. We paint a moisture barrier on all lauan around the edges of windows, doors, etc. We use a "whitish" sealer around upper openings (windows & doors) and black on the baggage doors openings.

The main benefit from Azdel is the R-Value & weight savings. Not being affected by moisture is an added benefit, we we seal all openings.
