Magnadyne failed

Received our 2014 Lexi 300SS 2 weeks ago and now on our first camp out. Was listening to some music (FM) and was on the EQ screen to adjust for more bass. Turned up bass a little, heard a loud "burp" and then screen went blank. Unit will not turn on or "reset" Tried using 2 different sets of "U" tools to remove it from the dash so I can check the fuses on the back side and only one side releases. Ideas??

Do a search for U Tool. I remember a thread a while back where someone gave some tips on this. Where to stop/not go too far in.

One worked fine until 3200 miles. Now days away from home it has gone on its own vacation doing what. It wants when it wants.
Remember one thing. Reset button lower left corner.

Contact the Magnadyne factory direct and ask to speak to their technical sales specialist Mark Jones or Mike Thrush at 800 638-3600. There is an update out there.

I am taking mine back to the dealer Tuesday AM to see if they can get the radio out of the dash. Maybe a fuse or maybe the radio is GONE!

Had another problem develop. The right rear fender flare has moved. Since the coach has full body paint, we now have a white line about 1/4" wide where the flare joins the sidewall along the back side of the flare. Does anyone know how the flare is attached to the sidewall The underside has been sprayed with heavy gray foam so any fasteners are hidden under the foam.

update

It was a fuse but not the one on the back of the radio. The radio is supplied by a fuse in the panel on the side of the entry step. The fuse is noted as "accessory". Dealer replaced 15 amp with a 20 amp. He stated other items besides the radio are attached to it. Still cannot remove the radio from the dash and have now ordered a Sirius SXV100V so will try again.

Magnadyne seems to be working. Will know more as we will be traveling this weekend. The tool to remove the radio from the dash looks like a big sprung hairpin.

Have you tried to remove the radio yet? When I went to remove my the first time I found after taking the dash apart that the radio was zip tied to the mounting bracket. Don't know if someone forgot to remove the zip tie or if someone did it for some other reason?
