Preping for 1st camping trip
we are preparing the unit for our first official camping trip. There are 2 city water connectors on the unit 8 inches apart and unmarked. Why are there 2 and which is the one to connect to the water source?

Not sure I've Sean or heard of a reason for two city water connections.
I have to wonder if one is bw flush mislabeled.

I'm guessing one will be your black tank flush, but I can't you tell which. Hook up a water hose and you will be able to find out pretty easy or post what tt you have and someone with the same model should be able to help you.

thinking it was just
going the extra mile -- a good THING someone did
how often do we wish we had another hose bib ??
and did not have to use the little T valves
is this the only site there
or do all the sites have two hose bibs ??

If you use this method to test; BE SURE to crack the bib valve and immediately shut it off. Check inside at a faucet for water pressure.
If you have water pressure at a tap. you have the correct connection.
If no pressure you have connected to the TurboFlush.
FYI, running full pressure water into the TurboFlush with the black tank drain valve closed can burst the tank. It is a warning in the manual.

I have 2 hose connections net to each other as well. One is city water and the other is for anti freeze inlet for winterizing. Both are about 8 inches apart.

Yes you really have three options as to what the inlets are for.
1. City Water
2. Black Tank Flush
3. Antifreeze Winterizing Inlet
Mine has all three, but they are labeled.

It might be helpful to list year, make, and model of your trailer.

Thanks to everyone for the help. The top inlet was for the black water flush even though it was not marked. Haven't had one of those on my previous trailors. Nice feature.

Lou,
I have to question your statement about exploding the black tank with flush.
wouldnt the air go up the vent pipe thus not creating pressure?

Huh, I thought I could put my finger right on the page in the manual that has that warning. Turns out my Flagstaff manual does not even mention I have the system installed.
I must have learned that here. It makes sense to me because if the tank were full or nearly full you could overfill the tank pretty quickly. The water static in the vent pipe would increase the pressure of the water in the tank as it pushes against the water in the stack.
I will keep looking because I know I saw it somewhere.
It may be a sticker on the camper.

I dont doubt that you are right about the manual stating this .
But I just cant figure out why FR or the tank manufacture would say this when the excess water cannot create pressure since the water replaces the air and it goes up the stinky pipe .
Now I could see this statement be true if the tank was full then you may have a problem . but then again why would you be flushing it at the full mark anyway ?
Maybe this is just one of these warnings that only makes sense to the people for the reason the waring was placed ?
The other thing I cannot understand is these solar powered stinky vent fans that only really work when you open the toilet valve .
Same way with the stinky pipe air foil thing a ma jig that also does nothing unless the toilet valve is open .

My manual is 75 pages and covers everything from pop-ups to Motor Homes. One of these days when I am not camping or working on the camper I may scan it and put it up into a PDF.
