Sofa Question

We have a 2011 Lex. 283. What are the long, bolster-type pillows behind the jackknife sofa supposed to do? They are long, leather-covered, rectangular things. I cannot place them anywhere that makes sense when the sofa makes a bed.

When the sofa is made into a bed....there is a gap left by the arms of the sofa. They fit in there to get you that space back.
