Smile Storage - solutions for pantry?

I have now had my 2007 Lexi 300SS for 2 weeks - it has been at the dealer the majority of that time getting little things fixed. I'm leaving today for my first trip! I think I have chosen to have my pantry in the large cabinet next to the refrigerator, though this will leave a lot of dead space. So my question is: what ideas have others come up with for pantry placement and utility? What type of shelving/drawers/etc have you used? Pictures of your solutions would be great!

some solutions....

heb1024 ...Cindy ...Asked "what ideas have others come up with for pantry placement and utility?"

Well Cindy , we were in the same situation as you.... lots of storage 'space' and very little "practicality" .
Anything here I post is not etched in stone or any RV laws...just my 2 cents.
I have included , by your request, some pictures that I did to our WildCat after seeing the vast empty open boxes called cabinets. We chose the stack of shelves beside the fridge to be our Pantry. I put in some shelving and some retainer grates to help organize and hold smaller items in place.
With this area being quite mid ship we didn't want to over load the cabinets with heavy stuff, so we kept anything heavy down low.
I would highly recommend using a good quality anti-slip-grip material where needed.

I took the lazy-susan out of the kitchen cabinet and placed it in the top cabinet in the pantry, the lower 2 shelves are matching and the bottom shelf became the pot cupboard with a shelf at the back.

I made a slide out shelf for the above the sink cupboard where mostly frequently used items and light stuff is stored.

At the end of the counter there was a blank panel so I knocked it out and made a slide out 'narrow/tall' bin for cutting boards and the like.

If you have a removable counter extension I also have a good storage solution for that....{by request}.

I'll post the pantry pictures with this message and post more pictures for other areas next.

Good Luck Cindy, I hope some of this helps.

Oh...PS... being a (retired) finish carpenter ....this kind of stuff was done in my sleep.

Thanks so much for the input, Islander! Wow, you do some great work! Love the ideas... will have to put some thought into shelving. My Dad could probably do some stuff for me. I will talk to him about it!

I can see in the last picture that idea came out really well. Now you got me thinking...
