Suburban SW6DE Hot Water Heater

Heater stays on Electric, will not ignite on gas, electric switch on heater feels spongy. We just had an inverter installed and the heater seems to be running off the inverter and switch does not turn it off. Any suggestions

I don't know what this is in but my hw heater has 2 switches one in the camper and one on the hw heater.
also did you have an inverter or a converter Installed?
That hw heater should run on gas and electric at the same time.
Check the reset button on the hw heater.
Gas on?
Do you have two switches for electric side?

We had an inverter installed to run a TV,Sat. dish and receiver. The heater has two electric switches one inside the motor home to ignite gas operation, and one on the heater to turn the electric element on & off. thanks John

Sounds like your heater has a propane problem. Bad igniter, stopped up gas tube....bad board.... Need to search for trouble shooting the gas side.
