There should have been a better way.

This all started when I put in a ScanGauge. I noticed that the engine starting voltage was over 13 volts. How could that be? I had the coach plugged into AC but that would only keep the coach batteries charged, so I thought. I was used to a simple battery isolator. But in my process of checking, I looked at the box that holds the relay. On the back side exposed are the positive leads coming from both the coach batteries & the engine starting battery. There has to be a better way then this! Also above this is an opening up to what appears to be a motor for the slide out. Perfect spot for all kinds of critters to crawl into. The one opening that wasn't filled in with expanding foam. Was this missed or is this way it has to be? Forest River caulking job was terrible. All compartments had to be caulked! Missed spots on outside trim & roof! I don't think this rig should be driven at all in winter slush or maybe even in an all day rain. I don't consider it rodent proof. Don't get me wrong. I like the rig & I knew that I wasn't getting top quality when I bought it. A person just has to check out everything so the surprises will be kept to the minimum.

There is no such thing as rodent proof.
They can chew thru foam like it was cotton candy.
