2004 Sunseeker

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Tomorrow we are going to look at a 2004 sunseeker, private owners. It has only 10k miles, brand new tires and new awning for about $23,000.

Does that sound like a good deal? He said he is the only owner and is pricing to sell.

I'm ready to jump on it just based on the photos, my bf is very skeptical.

Any tips, advice, or anyone who has this model, I believe 3100(?), that would like to chime in, all would be appreciated!

Not sure about the price, but we love our 3100. If tires are good, you might want to take it somewhere to have things checked out, like the a/c, hoses etc. also run the generator and all the systems inside, stove, refer, etc. good luck! I'm sure there will be more ideas as you read on.

Be sure to check the ceiling and windows for water intrusion/staining. If there is any staining, stay away

Do a google search on Motorhome checklists there are a couple out there that go from roof to tires and bumper to bumper and touch on a lot of the trouble spots. Be sure to have the owner point out to you if you do buy HW bypass, water pump locations, low point drains, fuses and batteries. Found some of these on my own on a new camper because they werent covered on a PDI and I thought I was prepared. Might ask about manuals they help again ask for locations some equipment is buried under beds and storage areas

I'm sure it's fine... But I'd look for a good answer as to why the miles are so low for a vehicle that's 12 years old. ( most RV model years come out and are sold the year before).

My main concern would be signs someone lived in it full time, mostly static.

Hey. Purchased our 2007 Sunseeker 2860 last year for 29,000 One owner 7,000 miles.
: low mileage can be as bad as high mileage
: I'd get a warranty. We did and it paid for itself on the first trip. Fuel tank problems.....probably caused from low mileage.
: tires can look new and be dry rotted. Be careful. Ask for receipt.
: Definitely ask for manuals.
The owner of ours was meticulous on details and maintenance.
:check www.nadaguides.com/RVs
for book values.
Good luck and let us know if you purchase.

Had some friends that just bought a 2003 3100 from an individual, tire tread looked good but were all dry rotted so knew that going in. Be sure to check area over cab pull up bedding to make sure dry and corners of bed in back for no sign of moisture. 19,000 miles on this one. $22,900 was asking price.
