2011 3170DS no 12vdc to bedroom TV outlet

There was no TV in the bedroom area, so I added one. Actually moved the Jensen from the kids area to the bedroom and added another TV back into the kids area.
I haven't put a meter to it yet but there seems to be no 12VDC to the outlet behind the TV. The TV worked before I moved it. Should there be voltage even though the unit did not come with the bedroom TV? Assuming there should have been voltage where would be the best place to look for a bad connection?

Or anything else that might be the problem.

Thanks
-Grady

If the lights in the kids bunk/slide are still working then its not a fuse as they are all feed from the same 12v line.

Guessing you cut the 12v feed line for the TV in the kids zone and spliced in a cig axu plug? Have you double checked all your splices to make shure you have continuity and the polarity is correct?

Put a meter to the 12v outlet, check fuses in power panel, double check your connects for the plug end you added.

Yes the lights in the bunk slide out are working. I didn't add a plug it was already in place, in the closet behind where the TV should live in the bedroom area.

The TV I added in the kids area is 120ac I ran the cord down behind the wall to the existing ac outlet.

thanks

Was the TV connected to 12vdc or ac? Every RV we have owned, the tv was always connected to the ac.

They should all be 12 volt or that's how they come from the factory.

The 12 volts was where it was supposed to be.

My bad. It appears the TV died somewhere between the kids area, and the bedroom. I first found a blown fuse in the 12 volt line (in the plug part) but even after replacing it the TV still shows no power.

Anybody recommend a good source for 12v TVs?

thanks

The TV may be fine. We have had to replace the 12v connectors on ours. First, check it with a known good 12v connector. The connectors can be purchased from Jenson.
