2011 sunseeker 2900 awning probkem

We bought our Mh used last October and unfortunately life has prevented is from using it a great deal. A few days ago I opened the awning and it worked just fine. It was wet so I left it open a few days to dry off. Now I went to try and close it and it makes a little clicking noise but is not working (either extending or retracting). I suspect something wrong with motor of awning but wanted to confirm a breaker wasn't blown. I can't find the breaker box anywhere . Anyone know where that is so I can just check? If it is not that, any suggestions? Do you think dealer will fix it for free since we have had it for less than 1 year or are we just out of luck? Will it likely be an expensive fix? Also there are some manual closing instructions but it refers to a strap which I can't find anywhere. Anyone know where that is likely stowed and/or whether we will have difficulty getting a replacement from dealer? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Is the RV plugged in to shore power?
If not you may want to check and see if your batteries have drained down. There may not be enough power left in them to retract it.

It is plugged in and the panel says battery is full. I also turned on engine and left it on for awhile and also even out the generator on and tried it.

Do you happen to know where the circuit breaker box is located? I know it is likely not that but now I just "need to know" where the heck it is...I have looked everywhere it seems like.

That was my only advice. We have a manual awning so hopefully somebody with an electric awning will chime in and help you out.

Search "awning recall". There are several threads that describe similar problems and a recall by Dometic regarding awning motors.

My 9100 awning has a 3 year warranty. 2 years parts and labor, 1 year parts. Should be under warranty.

Do you think it still applies if I bought it used? I bought it from a dealer who was using it as a rental, so technically I am considered the first owner? Confused

Do not know. Give Dometic a call. I was told that they do not register awnings.
Call 800-544-4881. Can't hurt.

If I remember, I will PM the instructions for a 9100 awning to replace the motor if you are inclined to do so. When you call, have your awning numbers from the sticker on the roller tube. Write all of them down. Do not remember which number they asked for.
The motor runs about $150. The key is to control the spring in the tube.
Do you have instructions on how to retract the awning? There is a procedure in you awning material.
