2012 Sunseeker Battery, generator, AC, power issue

It has been a couple of months since camping in my 2012 Sunseeker and wanted to check things out before a trip will will be taking in a couple of weeks. Went to test stuff and battery was almost dead (Not enough to start generator) although the kill switch was set.

I started the truck and waited about 10 minutes and it had charged the battery enough so was able start the generator (Surprised how quick it charged?).

I set the AC to 72 degrees and made sure it started and was cooling things because it was pretty hot and left to eat dinner. When we returned about 1.5 hours later, the generator had stopped. I started it again and it fired right up but then tried to turn on the AC because it was still hot and was able to set the thermostat but the AC would not start and neither would the fan. Tried several times. Then I tried the slide in the bedroom to make room to get to the fuse/breaker box in the bedroom and the slide did not work either. Other electronics, slides and lights seemed to work. Reset all the breakers and nothing.

Any thoughts?

Check the circuit breaker that is on the generator itself. It may have tripped. Generator would run but not put out any power to the MH if it tripped. Could have been too big a load on generator with max AC running and (I assume) max load on convertor trying to recharge battery.

RVBill3 has a good point. After checking the breaker on the generator itself... Go get a new house battery. Mine only last 2.5 - 3 years max. You sound like you are due for a fresh one.

AC thermostat requires a good 12 volt source to operate. So does the generator to stay running.
