2014 3010DS Converter/Charger

Hello,

I am in my final stages of research before buying a 2014 Sunseeker 3010DS.

Can anyone tell me what make/model converter is on the 2014 3010DS?

Or lacking the exact make/model, what I really am interesting in knowing is:

1) Amps
2) Is it a "smart" or "dumb" converter (i.e. can I leave it plugged in all the time without frying batteries)
3) Can it handle AGM batteries

I am not electronic engineer but I changed mine out. It was a matter of pulling 4 screws and unplugging it from the back of the circut box. I would suggest that you pull yours first then you will have all the info that you need. I bought mine back a couple of years ago online at convertersrus.com I think the name was, and it was much cheaper than anyplace else. I also leave mine plugged in for long periods with no problems.

Most likely a 55 amp wfco.

What you want is a progressive dynamics.
9200 series.

Thanks to all. Looks like I will probably just change it out right away....in the grand scheme of things its not a lot of money to swap the Progressive in from the start.

Unless they have changed things in the past few months, it will be a deck-mount WFCO 9855, tucked into a compartment towards the rear on the drivers side. A long way from the batteries, unfortunately.
