2014 3170 DS Questions

Three questions:

1. How can I have the radio on in the cab but not blasting through the coach? (Kids sleeping) if possible see question 2.

2. Is it possible to play a DVD in the coach (through dash dvd) with radio on in cab. Tired of listening to what kids are watching in back.

3. Park cable- I cannot figure this out. While camping we cannot get cable, I am sure I am missing something. Hook the cable up from post to coax (located in drivers side rear compartment) scan for channels under cable setting. It takes forever and gets nothing. I am sure I am missing something.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

Hello. Make sure the antenna amplifier is turned off, button is located in the cabinet located over top of the kitchen table. The button is located on the cable wire jack. Also, tighten all the cable tv connectors, mine were loose from the factory. Hope that helps.

1. use your fader
2. I think the cross volume would be a big issue. Magnadyne radio?
3. What Am544 said.

1. Fader (front/rear) in radio sound options
2. I don't have DVD player in dash (Jensen radio). Kids just use the DVD player/radio in the back "kids zone" to watch there movies, play Wii, or stream Netflix.
3. What AM544 said. However, without assuming you know...You have to switch the TV signal from "Air" to "Cable" within the TV's menu setup normally close in the menu where you tell it to search for new channels.

Thanks for the replies. I will try to find the fader and adjust. Yes magnadyne radio. As far as the cable goes there is not a amplifier switch / button in this unit. I just hook up cable to the jack outside. Scan for channels under cable setting not air and get nothing. Not sure If I am missing a step or what, but do not get anything on any TVs. All connections seem tight so just a little confused.

So you have a switch box then? Make sure the connections are in the right spot in the back of the box.

You can also test by just feeding the "from cable" connection to the TV directly. The box needs to have the switch set to cable.

Yes I have the switchbox. I have never really figured that goofy thing out. I will check and see what it is on. I have been afraid to mess with after finally just figuring out how to use the DVD player. Thanks for your help
