2016 3170 input

We are looking to buy our first motorhome and are looking at a 16 Sunseeker 3170 with 45K miles on it. Hoping to maybe hear from some users about this goods, bads and uglys with this model. Thanks for any feedback.

Quarters are cramped when the slides are in, electrical outlets are hard to reach, your fiberglass corners near your slides will crack, your schwinteck slide on the bunkroom side will wear out, and you will want a bigger tv and more comfortable couch in the family room part. Otherwise, it rocks and I would buy another one and I would not buy another brand. So, make sure you have a reserve fund handy to cover unexpected breakdowns just like you would with any rv. We bought our 2013 3170ds with 50,000 miles on it two years ago and we are now at 77,000 miles. We have camped in 103 degree temps and 15 degree temps and it does great. It has been worth it.

I agree with everything kgulya says here. We LOVE our 3170! We purchased ours from a private seller with 6,500 miles on the odometer and we now have 48,000 miles on it!

Happy travels...

2016 3170 input

I have a 2014 3170 Sunseeker purchased new. It currently has 25k miles and going strong.
As been stated, previous comments are correct.
We have had a few issues but no show stoppers. Ford chassis has been great. No issues.
Generator Fuel pump, couch slide gearbox, loose moulding, a small leak in the bedroom and over the bathroom skylight. I designed and installed a spare tire hoist system. The OEM was really bad.
We just returned from a 3-1/2 month post adventure with no issues.
Bottom line, would I buy one again? Yes, I would buy again.
Some additional mods,
Installed Five Star tune
Replaced the OEM couch
Replaced the Ford shocks, I choose Bilstein
At 5 years, replaced the tires
Some of the bad is the Cargo Carrying Capacity or CCC. This coach is heavy so there is not much CCC left. Easy to overload so be careful. Check the yellow sticker. CCC includes you, the wife, the kids, the dog, water, propane, fuel and your stuff, her stuff and their stuff. You have more storage than you have CCC.
Hope this all helps.
