2250 mods

Fellow 2250 & 2251 owners, let's talk about our little hidden gem or should I say -poor little sister .My dw loves the 24'l ength and walk around bed slide. I am pleasantly surprised by the 6.0 v8 - nice v8 rumble and power.I'm hoping for enough pulling power to tow our little Yaris on a two wheel dolly . The great thing though is the small size that allows us to go anywhere and not NEED a dingy.
As for mods - so far just one - 2 inch memory foam added . This to help the rock hard mattress. Much needed wheel simulators to replace the horrid poor little sister hubcaps have been ordered.Valve extensions will also be installed when the sims are added..

So far (1 month)
-Running boards
-SS Wheel simulators
-Back up camera- wireless
-Fantastic fan
-2 additional Maxx air vent covers (3 total now)
-Ejected glass shower door for a rod and curtain
-soap, shampoo dispenser in the shower
-Additional towel rack in bath.
-Added a shelf and hooks to hang cables, hoses in the main outside storage
-Window tint on the 3 large windows
-Floor mat for the cab (Lloyd mats)
-Passenger seat swivel
-Destickered the unit of all Forester decals and warning decals
-Installed font rain gutter extensions (Don't know why FR did not put any on the front with the downward frontal rake on the vehicle)
-Made a sink and stove top cover out of large plastic cutting boards
-Ejected the dinette, moved the electrical to the wardrobe wall and installed 2 recliner chairs, made a 24" round tabletop for the insert and added a flip up 1/2 circle table to the wall beneath the window (photos to come soon with a full thread)

Probably more stuff I forgot. I have been busy.
And for the icing on the cake- just sold the dinette for $300 on Craigslist.

Next is to get my truck set up to flat tow. I am making a custom baseplate.
Then...a dual receivered motorcycle rack for the rear of the coach.

Not a poor sister for you, total loss .Your 2251 is awesome,I appreciate your effort.Mine still is a poor sister.Radio can't find my mpc player, and reception is spotty.Simulators will be here and on Thur.,the first of many mods. Those hubcaps are the pits IMO. I just finished waxing the baby to give it the proper shine, such fun!

Stainless Pacific Duallies simulators are installed along w/ the memory foam on the mattress which made a huge difference both inside and out ! The dash radio now plays my mp3 player which is great considering radio reception is spotty .

Mine came with LED's.
Is yours a 2016?
Maybe since mine is a Forester?

I also got outside speakers and solar ready.

Good luck on the maiden voyage.
Mine went well.
Second trip was good also.
I just received the final piece to my "lounge" puzzle (replaced dinette with 2 recliners and tables)

Will post that up shortly.

Quite a few compliments before we left AND while camping w/ the 2250 . The Runt (of the litter )had a few unknown admirers before we left our driveway ,nice .It is clear that the uncomfortable dinette has to go. A much better use of the space can be made. Also I am not a fan of the dvd player.A much better outboard dvd is on the way.On a sadder note, toilet bowl not holding water and dinette window will not stay shut while driving. Warranty work coming .All in all,the Runt needs refinement ,but we are very happy w/ it.
