2700DS anyone have one? question about the bed

Hi,

We have our eye on the 2700DS.
Having a couch in a 28' motorhome is a real selling feature for us.

My biggest concern is the bed. I'm ok with the two piece design.

However the mattress (if you can call it that) seems really firm. Almost too firm to get a comfortable night's sleep.

Does anyone have any feedback on this bed design?

Everyone that has slept on it, really likes it. having said that, just ask your dealer about an upgrade mattress. We will put 2" of memory foam in the top. Softens it up. This is standard on the Forester.

Thank you. One of the salesman had suggested buying some memory foam to put on top of the mattress if it ended up being too firm. I wasn't sure if that would work or not. They also talked about an upgraded mattress for 2015 but I wonder if he was mixing that up with the Forester. I don't see any mention of it in the brochure.

It's not in the brochure, but if you request it we can special order it, or they can order through parts.

Later this year I hope to have an option for it.
