3010 newbie from Birmingham

Hello all, newbie here with our first rv. The DW and I picked up our new Sunseeker 3010 this past Friday and I would like to say thank you to everyone on this forum. I have been reading it for the past couple of months to learn everything I could before we picked it up. It has made so much difference with everything I have learned but I know i have so much more to learn.

We had a great first weekend except for when we were packing up on Sunday. The outside storage compartment below the shower was full of water so we have to take it back to the dealer this weekend to find the leak. Hopefully it will be a simple fix.

Welcome to FRF. I'm sure you will enjoy your new Sunseeker, like we do.

Welcome from Huntsville, and congratulations! Leak is probably a simple repair.

Not sure if it rained or the water was from somewhere else but you have to make sure that both sides on the storage compartment are latched shut otherwise it won't seal properly.

Congrats on the new 3010DS! We got ours last October, went down to Texas (south Padre Island) spent the winter there and came home last month. Did not have a single problem that the forum did not help us out with getting fixed. We love our MH and are looking forward to our next trip. Have fun as it is a great MH to travel in no matter if its a park down the road or across the country!

May want to make sure the outside shower fittings are secure and faucet is off. There is a small hole in some of the outside shower enclosure boxes for water to enter the coach. If it did not get completely shut off or there is a loose fitting it could be the source. Never rely on the shower head cutoff valve to stop water. Always use the faucets.

I also agree with Joshua's comment to latch both sides of the storage compartment. There is a seal around the edge that does not do its job without fully latching both sides. Even though it may be a hassle to use the keyed latch it is a good practice to make.

After I noticed the water, I had the DW turn on the shower and a couple of minutes later there was water running down the inside wall of the compartment. At that point, I knew I was going to take it back to the dealer to have it checked out.
