3010ds Fridge

A storm killed the power to the campground where I kept my camper last night. I did not have the propane on as it has a leak in the regulator (I am replacing that this week). When the power came back on an hour later my fridge check light was on. Was the fridge working or not? Should it have auto sensed that power was back on? My father who lives at the campground reset the fridge. He said everything was cold and freezer was still good. So the question is... Was the fridge still running with the check light as a warning. Or was it shut off?

Fridge light

When the check light is on the fridge is not working, You have to reset it and then the fridge will resume working.

When the power went off, with the fridge on auto, it tried to light the gas burner. Since the propane was off, of course this failed. When it has tried 3 times, the check light comes on and it will no longer try to light the burner. You have to reset it by turning the power switch off then back on. However, this only applies to the gas. So when the power came back on, the fridge started cooling again on electric power. So it really was only off for as long as the electricity was out. Turning it off then on reset the gas, and turned out the check light.
