3010ds Navigation/radio

One more question does anybody know when you're plugged into shore power does the DVD / navigation / radio pull its power from the engine battery or will it pull it from the shore power that's where my DVD is kids wanting to watch movie after movie worried that I'm draining my engine battery thank you for your reply

If you're plugged into shore power it will charge you're batteries. You don't have to worry about draining them.

Brian thank you for your reply so as long as I'm plugged into shore power the battery that powers my engine will be charged.

I am not so sure about that. It depends on the model year (Newer the better chance) The stereo is powered by the Engine starting Battery on some Model years (Not charged via converter as I understand it) Newer model years, The dash stereo is powered by the house batteries that are charged by the converter (Via shore power). Mr. Brian Clemens can confirm

There is an Emergency start switch on the driver's seat base that connects the house batteries to the start battery should you find yourself "Drained"

On my 2012, FR added a small circuit behind the radio. When engine (key) is on, power is from chassis battery. When engine is off, power is from house battery. However, like others have said, when on shore power, both house and chassis batteries are charged, so there is no chance of running battery down with radio.

If it's plugged in you are good to go do whatever you want you are being charged
